You Know What You Need. Getting It Built? That's Where We Come In.

Turning a vision into working software takes more than tools. It takes knowing the right questions, anticipating the problems you didn't know to expect, and making sound decisions at every step. We've already navigated that terrain. You bring the vision — we take it from there.

Trusted by financial services firms, legal professionals, and growing businesses across Hong Kong.

WHAT WE DO

The Right Solution for Your Actual Problem

Workflow Automation

Your team is spending time on work that shouldn't require human effort. We identify exactly where the bottleneck is, then build a system that removes it — cutting days of manual work down to hours.

Web Application & SaaS Development

Custom platforms built precisely to your requirements. We scope only what you need, build it properly, and deliver something your team can actually use — without the overhead of a traditional agency.

Mobile App Development

iOS and Android, built simultaneously. Currently delivering a fitness rewards platform for a major Hong Kong mall partnership, launching October 2026.

Website Creation

High-quality, animated websites that reflect the professionalism of your business. From design to deployment — fully handled.

WHY US

We Bridge the Gap

The gap between 'I want to build this' and 'it's live and working' is wider than it appears. It's filled with decisions that require context you haven't had time to build, and questions that are hard to ask when you don't yet know what you don't know.

An Intellect exists to close that gap. We work with business owners who have a clear vision and need someone with the judgment and experience to realise it properly — without requiring them to become a developer in the process.

OUR WORK

From Problem to Production.

Every engagement starts with a real problem. Here's what we solved.

Legal SaaS · Hong Kong

Live

BarNote

A fee note management SaaS built for Hong Kong barristers-at-law.

THE PROBLEM

Hong Kong barristers had no dedicated tool to create, issue, and track professional fee notes. The process was manual, error-prone, and time-consuming — involving spreadsheets, Word documents, and no payment visibility.

WHAT WE BUILT

A full multi-tenant SaaS platform with PDF fee note generation, WhatsApp sharing, payment status tracking, overdue reminders, dashboard analytics, and an admin panel. Built with Next.js, Supabase, and Vercel — live and in production.

THE OUTCOME

A barrister can now create, issue, and share a professional fee note in under two minutes. Payment tracking, overdue alerts, and reporting are fully automated — replacing a fragmented manual process entirely.

HOW IT WORKS

From First Conversation to Working Software

01

Listen

We start by understanding your business — not pitching a solution. The real pain point is rarely the first thing described.

02

Diagnose

We map the problem, identify the most efficient path to solving it, and scope only what's needed. No unnecessary complexity.

03

Build

We deliver working software — tested, reliable, and built to last — without the timeline or cost of a traditional firm.

04

Hand Over

You get something your team can use from day one. We stay available for questions, iterations, and whatever comes next — on agreed terms.

FAQ

Common Questions

How are you different from a traditional software development firm? +

Traditional firms come with layers — project managers, account managers, developers, QA teams — and you pay for all of them. We operate lean, which means lower overhead, faster decisions, and direct access to the person actually building your product. You're not managing a team. You're talking to one person who understands your business and is accountable for the outcome. The trade-off is that we're selective about what we take on — we work best with clients who have a clear problem to solve and want a partner who'll ask the hard questions before writing a single line of code.

How do you keep costs lower than a typical agency? +

Traditional firms carry significant overhead — large teams, multiple management layers, and the infrastructure to support them. You pay for all of that, whether it contributes to your project or not. We operate with a lean structure that puts resource directly into the work itself, not into layers around it. Combined with modern development tools that allow us to build faster without sacrificing quality, the result is a more efficient process — and a more honest bill. We won't give you an artificially low estimate to win the work. What we will do is scope only what you actually need, and deliver it without unnecessary cost built in.

I have no technical background — how involved do I need to be? +

That's exactly who we build for. You don't need to understand how the software works — you need to be able to describe what your business needs and what's currently not working. We handle the translation from there. Our job is to ask the right questions, surface requirements you might not have thought to mention, and come back to you with something that solves the actual problem. The only thing we need from you is clarity on your business, not technical knowledge.

Is my data secure on the platforms you build? +

Every platform we build runs on enterprise-grade infrastructure — Supabase, Microsoft, and Vercel — each of which carries their own security certifications, compliance frameworks, and dedicated security teams. At the code level, we follow security best practices on every build: proper authentication, role-based access control, and strict data separation between users. For workflow automations, we can build entirely within your existing Microsoft tenancy environment, meaning your data never leaves your own organisation's infrastructure. For clients with specific enterprise compliance requirements, we work with specialist partners rather than overstate our own remit.

What happens if something breaks after launch? +

We don't hand over and disappear. For every project we deliver, we maintain full documentation of how it's built so that any issue can be diagnosed and resolved quickly. Post-launch support — whether that's bug fixes, updates, or new features — is available on agreed terms. We discuss this as part of the initial scope so both sides are clear on what's included and what falls outside it. There are no surprises.

Can you work within our existing Microsoft or Google environment? +

Yes — and for clients in regulated industries, we'd actively recommend it. Building within your existing Microsoft tenancy means your data stays inside your own organisation's environment, governed by your own IT and compliance policies. We scope around your existing infrastructure rather than asking you to move to something new.

How long does a typical project take? +

It depends on the scope, and we'll always give you an honest estimate before any work begins. A workflow automation can often be scoped, built, and delivered in a matter of weeks. A full SaaS platform or mobile app is a longer engagement — typically several months from discovery to launch. What we don't do is give you an artificially short estimate to win the work and then extend it. If a project is complex, we'll tell you upfront.

Do you work with businesses outside Hong Kong? +

Our primary market is Hong Kong, and our network is here — which means we understand the local business environment, the regulatory context, and the practical constraints HK businesses operate within. That said, the work itself has no geographic limitation. If you're based elsewhere and the problem is a good fit, we're happy to talk.
